Do you know who I mean? I'm talking about the people that always tell you you can't do it, that it's too risky, that it's not worth it. I heard this term in Robert Kiyosaki's phenomenal book "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". I will be referencing him a lot in this blog. His book really opened my eyes.
Now think about those people that tell you to you're crazy when you bring up a business or investing idea; or when you decide to make positive changes in your lifestyle. Take a good look at the people telling you to forget it. Where are they in life? Why would you take advice from somebody who is currently where you are, or worse, behind where you are or want to go.
Try this; float some ideas to your friends and relatives. Take careful note of how they react. Identify and relate to the positive influences for your aspirations and don't waste your time with the negative ones.
If I remember correctly, the sky did not fall so why are you listening to the Chicken Littles?

It's up to YOU
This blog is about getting you where you want to go in life. I will not pretend to know what any one person's goals and aspirations are but I will give you my thoughts and experiences that just may help you.
The major point to achieving is to remember - it is up to you and only you. If you are not happy with your current situation, only you can change it. You may have to change how you approach life day to day. You may have to change who you associate with. You may have to change jobs or professions.
Sounds daunting I know. But people are doing it all the time. One of my favorite quotes is by Albert Einstein who said "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".
Think about that. You can apply this to many things in your life. You can't lose weight unless you change your eating and/or exercise habits. You can't get promoted unless you change what you are doing at work (at least not a meaningful promotion). You can't meet the love of your life unless you meet new people. Get the idea?
Remember - only you can do it. Absolutely ask for help, but in the end it is up to you to take it. So change now - start today.
